Aluminum alloys from which pipes are made in Alupro
“Alupro” is the number one manufacturer of aluminum profiles in Ukraine. For over twenty years we have been producing aluminum alloy products that are used in a wide range of applications, from industrial equipment to architectural solutions. Over this time we have accumulated extensive practical experience that allows us to confidently select alloys capable of delivering consistent results both during production and in long-term use. This expertise is especially important in tube manufacturing, as the choice of alloy directly determines how well the finished product meets the requirements for strength, processability, and durability in operation.

Alloys We Use

The choice of alloy is always determined by the application. In some cases, corrosion resistance is the priority. In others, the ability to maintain shape over long lengths or suitability for precise post-processing is more important. For tube production we rely on proven deformable alloys such as AD 0, AD 1 and AD 31.
This selection did not happen by chance. These alloys have consistently proven their reliability in tube manufacturing and ensure stable results from batch to batch.
AD 0 alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance and good weldability. It is used when maximum resistance to aggressive environments is required and when mechanical strength requirements are moderate. Such tubes perform well in systems exposed to harsh atmospheric conditions or varying humidity.
AD 1 alloy is similar in characteristics to AD 0 but holds its shape better over longer lengths and is somewhat easier to machine after extrusion. This option is often chosen for tubes that will operate under light to moderate loads as part of engineering systems.
AD 31 alloy offers an optimal combination of strength, ductility and surface quality. It performs well during extrusion, produces tubes with consistent dimensions along their length and cross-section, and is ideal for subsequent bending, welding or anodizing. These tubes are commonly used in architectural structures and engineering solutions where higher mechanical performance is required.

Quality Control and Compliance with Standards

In tube manufacturing, we pay particular attention to consistency of results. It is important to us that every profile meets the declared specifications, regardless of the production batch. Quality control begins with the chemical composition of the alloy and continues through all stages of extrusion and post-processing.
All tube products are manufactured in full compliance with current DSTU and EN standards. This is confirmed not only by internal quality control but also by valid certificates of conformity. Such an approach allows us to be confident in the quality of products we supply to our customers. For our clients, this guarantees predictable performance during installation and long-term use.
